Japanese restaurant headed to former Divino Lounge space

The former Divino Lounge, the Argentine restaurant at 7345-B Wisconsin Avenue that closed in December, is being replaced with Yuzu, a Japanese restaurant that will feature sushi and robata.
Robata is the centuries-old style of grilling practiced by Japanese fishermen; diners nowadays sit around a horseshoe-shaped counter and watch the chef turn the charcoal-grilled skewers.
The restaurant, which gets its name from the yuzu, a Japanese citrus fruit, is owned by Yoshihisa Ota, who previously was an owner of Kushi in downtown’s Mt. Vernon Square. Ota said he also owned a sushi restaurant in Japan for 15 years.
Aside from robata, Ota said the new restaurant will have a small sushi counter. He’s shooting for an April opening.
