Fashionable Crisis

Shop the latest arrivals in resort wear and join Redwood co-owner Lily Rager, media strategist Susan Toffler and NBC’s Eun Yang as they host the Washington launch of Good in a Crisis, a memoir by author Margaret Overton.

The event will take place at Bethesda’s Ginger boutique Thursday, Feb. 16, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served throughout the evening.

Attendees will be able to preview Ginger’s new collections from designers Calypso St. Barth, Joie Resort and Plenty by Tracy Reese. Ten percent of all proceeds will benefit the local Hope for Henry Foundation.

According to the book jacket, Good in a Crisis tells the story of Overton’s post-divorce adventures coupled with a serious health crisis: a brain aneurysm.

It is “a laugh-out-loud funny story of dealing with the most serious of life’s problems: the death of close friends, the dissolution of a long marriage, a sudden health crisis, the realities of midlife.”

The event is free and open to the public. An RSVP is requested to Ginger@BrandLinkDCrsvp.com
