Grand Opening Ceremony at Carluccio’s at Pike & Rose
On May 18, Carluccio’s and the Greater Bethesda Chamber of Commerce welcomed the arrival of the restaurant’s second U.S. location to Pike & Rose in North Bethesda. Carluccio’s is an international Italian restaurant group that offers a combination of all-day dining coupled with an in-house market with over 80 imported products sourced direct from small artisan producers all over Italy. Founded in 1999 and named after the founder and acclaimed cook, author and TV personality Antonio Carluccio, the Carluccio’s group has over 100 restaurants operating internationally in the UK, Ireland, and Middle East. The opening of the second U.S. location in North Bethesda comes less than a year after the first location opened in Alexandria, Virginia in 2015..
Catherine Provost, from the office of Congressman Chris Van Hollen, and Roger Berliner, Montgomery County Council vice president, delivered opening remarks and presented Sebastiano Ligato, director of operations of Carluccio’s, with a certificate during a ceremonial ribbon cutting at the entrance of the restaurant.
Erin Allen, membership chairwoman of Greater Bethesda Chamber of Commerce, also presented Carluccio’s with a plaque in honor of the restaurant’s opening.
Following the ribbon cutting, guests and diners were treated to Processco and traditional Italian canapés while mingling in the restaurant’s Italian Market.
