Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (www.bsomusic.org), in residency at The Music Center at Strathmore, offers 37 classical, pops and educational performances at Strathmore and additional educational performances in Title I schools in Montgomery County during the 2016-2017 season. The organization continues to expand its education and outreach initiatives in the Metro region.

What a donation buys:

•    $350 helps to underwrite a visit by a BSO musician to a local Title I school as part of the BSO’s OrchLab program.

•    $1,500 enables a BSO string quartet to play a BSO on the Go recital at a senior center.

•    $5,000 allows more than 100 students to attend a BSO concert at The Music Center at Strathmore.

Volunteer opportunities:

•    One day or ongoing: Serve as a volunteer host for the Comcast Lounge at BSO performances and at donor events outside of Strathmore.

•    One day or ongoing: Work as an usher at Music Box children’s concerts at the Silver Spring Civic Center.
