Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County (www.creativemoco.com)

AHCMC, a nonprofit based in Silver Spring, works to cultivate and support excellence in the arts and humanities, expand access to cultural expression and contribute to economic vitality in the region. The organization provides critical grants and services to cultural nonprofit organizations, schools, civic groups, artists and scholars as Montgomery County’s designated local arts agency. AHCMC promotes the county’s cultural treasures through culturespotmc.com, and brings arts education programs to children and families through The Guide to Children’s Arts Activities. In support of the visual arts, AHCMC provides exhibition opportunities to local artists via The Betty Mae Kramer Gallery & Music Room and oversees the commissioning and conservation of public art across the county.
