350 kids participated in the third annual children’s triathlon

On Sunday, June 17, more than 350 kids participated in JUST TRYAN IT’s third annual children’s triathlon in Bethesda, Md., to raise money for families battling childhood cancers.

JUST TRYAN IT is named in honor of Ryan Darby, a Bethesda, Md. native who was just six years old when diagnosed with Leukemia. Now in his second year of treatment, Ryan’s courage and resilience is an inspiration and he encourages kids to do their best and appreciate every day.

After the event, JUST TRYAN IT presented a check for $125,000 for families at Georgetown University Hospital who are struggling with the high financial costs of childhood cancer. JUST TRYAN IT has raised more than $275,000 since 2010.
