Decorating With Purple

Color gurus at Benjamin Moore have chosen a deep amethyst shade as the color of the year

The Benjamin Moore paint company has chosen Shadow for its color of the year. A combination of lively red and calming blue, the peaceful purple is showing up everywhere from fashion runways to housewares departments. So why not add a pop of the popular hue to your home? We’ve done a little shopping to get you started.

1. Fabulous Fronds

5. Spot-On Rug

The vibrant jewel-tones of this thick, plush wool area rug give a room a solid visual foundation. While not exactly a pattern, the variegated heather effect adds depth and texture to the look.
