Ginger

Photos by Erick Gibson

Ginger owner Gretchen Hitchner hand-selects the most fashion-forward, but wearable, handbags, belts and scarves. “Women like to be a little more daring with their accessories,” Hitchner says. “Someone who wears neutrals can add color with an animal print belt or a crimson-colored bag.”

Look for accessories by Linea Pelle, local designer Diamantina and Virginia Johnson in Hitchner’s eco-friendly shop. “Other lines we love include our Posh Chic scarves—gorgeous patterns that are printed by hand with vegetable dyes,” Hitchner says. “These are a really sophisticated way to add a pop of color to a sweater or blazer.”

And don’t miss jewelry by local designer Suzanne Somersall Allis and the paintings adorning the walls by local artist Maggie O’Neill, also available for sale.

Shown above are the Diamantina Susi tassel handbag ($298) and Posh Chic cashmere vegetable-dyed scarf ($198).
