Best Personal Trainer (Readers' Pick)

Eric Toussaint, JETT Training

Eric Toussaint boxed, mountain biked, played soccer and practiced martial arts growing up in Silver Spring. But it wasn’t until he broke his hand in his 20s and needed physical therapy that he learned “how much physical activity can help improve people’s lives.”

Now 41, Toussaint applies his athletic prowess and his rehab experience—he spent three years as a physical-therapy aide—at JETT Training. Clients of his Bethesda business include athletes, post-rehab patients and pregnant women. He trains them in their homes ($120 per individual session) or in gyms ($90 per individual session) such as Fitness First Bethesda.

“It is called personal training, and my eclectic background helps me tailor workouts to each client,” Toussaint says.
