Whatever the time of day, there’s always action at Black’s bar. Lunch-goers head there for the quick service and the same offerings as the dining room, and nighttime visitors find the bar menu offers a reservation-free helping of burgers and more. But happy hour at Black’s is “really strong,” says owner Jeff Black.
Aside from longtime bartenders whom regulars seek out, the big draw is discounted oysters, shrimp, mussels and calamari. Then there’s the booze. “We do quite a few mojitos and martinis,” Black says. “And we make good margaritas.”
