Best Home Furnishings Store

Urban Country

Urban Country has been the area’s go-to home design and furnishings store since 1991, when Rachelle Roth opened it in Bethesda with her late-husband, Jeffrey. Today, daughter Jill works alongside Roth, who recently created a store-within-a-store featuring whimsical furniture by Russell & Mackenna of Severna Park.

Expect to find eco-friendly items—the store is a member of the Sustainable Furniture Council—and a wide range of designs, from painted country to modern styles fit for an urban condo.
