It’s not just kids who develop lifelong friendships every summer at the shaded, 5-acre Potomac Swim & Tennis Club. Parties, picnics and barbecues, plus a top-notch kids’ swim team, make the seasonal club feel “warm and welcoming” for kids of all ages, says 14-year member Pam Bass of Potomac.

Annual dues range from $475 for seniors to $705 per family, with a onetime initiation fee of $1,500.
