Cava

Since Cava first opened in 2006, its three owners have become friends with many of their loyal customers. So much so, in fact, that some patrons have invested in Cava Mezze Grill, a Mediterranean fast-food concept that owners Dimitri Moschovitis, Ike Grigoropoulos and Ted Xenohristos are rolling out soon in three locations, including one on Bethesda Avenue.

“It’s grown to be like one big, happy family,” Xenohristos says of their Rockville following.

Despite the Greek friends’ expansion of their empire (another restaurant on Capitol Hill, the grill eateries, catering, a booming wholesale business selling dips, plus other plans in the works), the Rockville restaurant is still serving the same bold and interesting mezze, showing it’s always good to stick with what you do best.

Other top vote-getters: Addie’s, Tower Oaks Lodge, Timpano Italian Chophouse, Il Pizzico
