Bullis Summer Programs

“Our sports camps are mostly run by our coaches, whom we employ during the year,” says Darlene Haught, director of Bullis Summer Programs. So “they have a vested interest in making Bullis a great experience.”

The 80-year-old co-ed school offers camps focused on basketball, football, field hockey, lacrosse, soccer, wrestling, baseball or tennis. It also offers a combined lacrosse/field hockey session.

Over 11 weeks last summer, about 2,500 kids between 5 and 18 attended an athletic camp on Bullis’ 80-acre wooded campus in Potomac. Day camps cost about $265 a week, and those offered three or four evenings a week cost $175.
