Glow-in-the-dark bowling, gourmet food such as PB&J and Nutella Sliders devised by Iron Chef contender David Burke, and an arcade for kids uninterested in knocking down pins. All those make Bowlmor Lanes in Bethesda a popular spot for birthday celebrations.
“You sit back and enjoy the party—it’s all done for you,” says Bowlmor’s Colie Edison.
The high-end alley, which changed its name in October from Strike Bethesda to match that of its New York City location, hosts 1,500 birthday parties a year for children 4 and up. Costs range from $28 to $59 per child. Add a “Pampered Parents” feature and adults can enjoy the bowling and an open bar.
