Dave & Buster’s Schedules Silver Spring Opening for Nov. 21

The new arcade and restaurant plans to be open on Thanksgiving

Dave & Buster’s will open at Ellsworth Place in downtown Silver Spring later this month.

The website for the new location notes a “tentative grand opening” is scheduled for Nov. 21 and that it’s still hiring employees.

The website also says the new location will be open on Thanksgiving from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. The company announced in late September it was planning a late November opening, but didn’t reveal a specific date.

The arcade and restaurant will fill a 40,000-square-foot space on the top floor of the mall formerly known as City Place. The company plans to offer more than 165 games at the location and hire more than 260 employees.

On Friday, workers could be seen loading several large arcade games into the new space. The opening will mark Dave & Buster’s return to Montgomery County after the company closed its White Flint Mall location in August 2014, just before demolition began at the mall.
