Lightshow—Friday night—The Fillmore, Silver Spring

A rapper from Southeast Washington, D.C., Lightshow, will come to The Fillmore for a solo show. He has performed with Wale and opened for 2Chainz. His last mixtape featured 21 Savage and A$AP Ant.

Tickets are $20. Doors open at 7 p.m.

New Year’s climbing—Friday—Earth Treks, Rockville

Earth Treks in Rockville is selling discounted day passes for a “Resolution Rendezvous” event. Focused on the New Year, the event will feature games, beer and video screenings.

Passes for $20 are available from 5 to 10 p.m.

Winter Ice Show—Friday—Wheaton Ice Arena

Local skaters of all ages will perform in the annual Winter Ice Show. The show features group and solo performances.

The free event goes from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Mozart’s Jupiter—Saturday night—Strathmore, North Bethesda

The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra will perform Mozart’s Jupiter symphony at Strathmore’s Music Center. Principal Flute Emily Skala and Acting Principal Harp Sarah Fuller will play his Double Concerto, the composer’s only score for harp.

Tickets are $35 to $110 for the 8 p.m. show.

David Bowie tribute—Sunday night—Bethesda Blues & Jazz Supper Club

The Bethesda Blues & Jazz will honor David Bowie’s legacy with a tribute show to the late star. Next week marks the two-year anniversary of Bowie’s death. The show features performances by Trésoul the Artist, Eddie Montalvo and Trevor Specht.

Tickets are $20 to the 8 p.m. show.
