Police Seek To Identify Man Who Reportedly Sexually Assaulted Teen on Ride On Bus

The 16-year-old girl told a Montgomery Blair High School resource officer about the attack

Montgomery County police say this man sexually assaulted a teenage girl on a Ride On bus in March in Silver Spring. Via Montgomery County Police Department.

Montgomery County detectives are looking for a man who reportedly sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl on a Ride On bus in Silver Spring in March.

Police report the girl and the man both boarded the bus at about 3:35 p.m. March 6 in the 10100 block of Colesville Road, a short walk from Montgomery Blair High School. The man sat next to the girl and sexually assaulted her during the ride, then followed her off the bus at a stop near the intersection of Spring Street in Silver Spring, according to authorities. The man reportedly assaulted her again in the 700 block of Sligo Avenue in Silver Spring.

The girl told police the man stopped his attack and ran away when he heard someone else approaching.

She reported the attack the following day to the school resource officer at Blair.

Investigators on Monday released a surveillance photo of the man and asked the public's help in identifying him.
