A man walked into a Wells Fargo bank in the Aspen Hills area late last month and left with an undisclosed sum of stolen cash, according to police.

Montgomery County police released two surveillance photos of the man Thursday and said detectives are investigating the robbery.

Early on the afternoon of Dec. 29, a man handed a note to the teller at the bank on 3852 International Drive, demanding money. He received the cash and fled. Officers arrived at the scene a short time later, at about 1:30 p.m.

Police have asked anyone with information about the bank robbery or the robber to call detectives at 240-773-5100. Callers also may leave an anonymous tip with Crime Solvers of Montgomery County at 866-411-TIPS (8477) for the chance of up to a $10,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest or indictment.
