Man found guilty of Metro Red Line rape

A Montgomery County jury on Tuesday found John Hicks, 41, of Washington, D.C., guilty of raping a woman on board a Red Line Metro train traveling from Fort Totten to Glenmont on the morning of April 12. Prosecutors said Hicks’ DNA was found at the scene. The woman, a night nurse, was reportedly dozing off on her way home from work when she was attacked. [WTOP]

Hogan indicates he has $9 million for re-election campaign

A fundraising memo from Republican Gov. Larry Hogan’s campaign noted the incumbent has $9 million in total cash on hand for his re-election campaign. Hogan has yet to file his latest fundraising report, which is due by midnight Wednesday evening and will formally reveal his fundraising haul from the past year. Six Democrats are running for the chance to defeat him in the November election. [Baltimore Sun]
