Weekend Events: Artists With Many Specialties Will Be at Bethesda Row

The 20th annual Bethesda Row Arts Festival will be held Saturday and Sunday.

The 20th annual Bethesda Row Arts Festival is expected to include about 190 world-class artists in areas such as glass weaving, digital collages, sculptural furniture and watercolors.

Montgomery County artists selected to participate include:

  • Joseph Craig English, graphics
  • Jeffrey Oh, wood
  • Alex Keto, digital
  • Catherine Coloney, wearable fiber

The free event benefits the National Institutes of Health Children’s Charities.

National Philharmonic-Saturday and Sunday-The Music Center at Strathmore

The National Philharmonic is kicking off its 2017-18 season this weekend.

A concert on Saturday at 8 p.m. will feature Sarah Chang on violin and Grammy-winning Zuill Bailey on cello. Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett will conduct the national anthem.
