The event dubbed “Inaugural Idiocracy” will take place on Inauguration Day, Jan. 20, at the Silver Spring brewery. In the tap room downstairs, the brewery will show the inauguration coverage, while in the upstairs space the brewery will screen the 2006 cult classic Idiocracy, a dystopian Mike Judge film set 500 years in the future when U.S. culture has morphed into rampant advertising, commercialism and anti-intellectualism. At 8 p.m. in the lower taproom DJ Blaqsquerade will be spinning dance music. The brewery also plans to release a special inauguration-themed beer for the party.

Owen’s Ordinary to host FeBREWary

On Feb. 23, RAR Brewing will be featured in a four-course beer dinner with five beer pairings that costs $50 per person.
