Asian restaurant Red Maple has taken over the Palais De Lune in Silver Spring and will start offering its menu in May, the owner said.

Red Maple, a Silver Spring restaurant on 10110 Colesville Road, is leasing the space of the Palais De Lune on 8315 Grubb Road, Red Maple owner James Zheng said. The staff is still serving the Palais De Lune menu, but the restaurant will open under the Red Maple name and menu sometime next month. Some signs have already been changed at the location to say "Red Maple."

The Palais De Lune serves Chinese meals including pork with white rice and chow mein as well as some Thai entrees and a sushi combo. Red Maple offers many of the same Chinese menu items as well as noodle dishes such as pad Thai and chow fun and a wider selection of sushi.

Zheng said the sushi offered at the upcoming second location of Red Maple will be largely similar to the original restaurant’s offerings, but the menu will have some differences, including more variations and chef’s specials.

The restaurant will be remodeled and may be closed for a few days before the grand opening as Red Maple, Zheng said.
