Police Investigate Head-on Crash that Injured Five in Cabin John Area

Children and adults were transported to hospital after weekend collision

U.S. Park Police are investigating a head-on collision on Clara Barton Parkway in the Cabin John area over the weekend that injured five people, including children, officials said.

The crash occurred at about midnight Saturday night near the Cabin John Parkway, Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service spokesman Pete Piringer tweeted. Five people were evaluated on the scene and then brought to a local hospital. Two were trauma patients, though officials were not able to provide updates on their conditions.

As rescue workers responded to the scene, outbound lanes of Clara Barton Parkway over Cabin John Parkway were blocked.
