Police Blotter: Multiple House Burglaries Across Montgomery County; Two Vehicles Stolen in Rockville

Bethesda

House burglary

A house in the 6400 block of Dahlonega Road was broken into early on the morning of Nov. 26. Property was taken.

Friendship Heights

Apartment burglary

An apartment in the 5400 block of Wisconsin Avenue was broken into between Nov. 24 and 27. Property was taken.

House burglary

Property was also taken from a house in the 5300 block of Westport Road between 6:15 and 10:15 p.m. Nov. 26. Forced entry was reported.

Kensington

Attempted commercial burglary

There was an attempted burglary at the Montgomery County Housing Opportunities Commission Office at 10400 Detrick Ave. between Nov. 22 and 27.

Thefts from vehicles

Property was taken from multiple vehicles around Summit Avenue and Dresden Street between 4 p.m. Nov. 22 and 10:30 a.m. Nov. 23. No force was reported.

North Bethesda

Thefts from vehicles

Cash and property were taken from multiple vehicles on Pine Haven Terrace, Barbados Place, Antigua Terrace and Chapman Mill Drive between Nov 22 and 24. Force was reported in multiple incidents.

Potomac

Attempted bank robbery

A man tried to steal cash in an attempted bank robbery at the BB&T Bank at 1097 Seven Locks Road near Park Potomac at 4:23 p.m. Nov. 27.

Thefts from vehicles

Property was taken from two vehicles in the 8600 block of Wild Olive Drive and in the 12200 block of Devilwood Drive between 4 p.m. Nov. 25 and 11:30 a.m. Nov. 26. No force was reported.

Rockville

Vehicles stolen

A vehicle was stolen from the 100 block of North Washington Street between 1:15 and 11 a.m. Nov. 22

Between 7:40 and 8:03 p.m. Nov. 23, a vehicle was stolen from the 300 block of Howard Avenue.

House burglary

A person entered a house in the 600 block of Muriel Street through an unlocked back door and stole two video games and a video game console.

Silver Spring

Thefts from vehicles

Property was taken from multiple vehicles on Roeder Road, Ripley Street, Georgia Avenue, Galveston Street and Devon Court between Nov. 20 and 25. Force was reported in three of the thefts.

Aggravated assaults

A 36-year-old man from Largo was arrested after he allegedly assaulted an adult woman in the 8700 block of First Avenue at about 7:50 a.m. Nov. 21.

Two women, one displaying a weapon, assaulted two other women in the 8100 block of Fenton Street in the early morning of Nov. 26.

Library burglary

The Silver Spring Library at 900 Wayne Ave. was broken into early on the morning of Nov. 27. Nothing was taken.

House burglary

Property was taken from a house on the 1500 block of Sanford Road between Nov. 22 and 25. Forced entry was reported.
