County Expanding Hours at Three Local Libraries This Month

Little Falls, Kensington and Twinbrook locations will be open longer during the week

Little Falls Library in Bethesda is among the three libraries expanding hours

Montgomery County Public Libraries is expanding hours at three local libraries, starting Oct. 15.

Little Falls Branch, Kensington Park and Twinbrook libraries will be open a combined 19 hours more after the new hours go into effect this month.

The library system also will add eight staff members at the three branches to help with the expanded service.

The new hours for all three libraries will be Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. All three branches are closed on Sunday.

The expanded hours were approved by the County Council in the fiscal 2018 budget.

The additional hours for each branch are as follows, according to the county:
