Web-Based Men's Clothing Store Likely Opening On Bethesda Row
A company spokeswoman won't confirm it, but multiple reports say men's clothing store Bonobos — which first came to Bethesda Row late last year with a holiday pop-up shop — will be taking over the former Daddy & Son space at 4836 Bethesda Ave. The New York-based company started in 2007 as a web-only outfit with a mission to make men's pants fit better. They also stock sweaters, blazers and other items and six permanent "guideshops" where customers can try on clothes before buying them online. The pop-up shop last year at the former Urban Chic space served in a similar capacity. Now it appears the company is coming back for at least the foreseeable future. Both Robert Dyer @ Bethesda Row and Bethesda Patch reported Bonobos would be opening up again on Bethesda Row, though spokeswoman Kaitlyn Axelrod wasn't yet ready to confirm it. It would be the second Bonobos store in the D.C. area, following the shop in Georgetown.
