Survey Shows Bethesda Chronically Homeless Have Been on the Street for Almost 8 Years — As part of the 100,000 Homes Campaign, Bethesda homeless prevention nonprofit Bethesda Cares does surveys among the area's homeless population to chronicle medical problems and disabilities. This year's survey shows the average homeless person in Bethesda has been on the street for more than seven years, higher than the national average. [Bethesda Patch] North Bethesda is Walkable, But do Residents Want to Walk? — A local blogger takes on recent high ratings of North Bethesda and White Flint as a "walkable" community, the popular new buzz term for not needing the use of a car in daily shopping, commuting and other activities. [North Flintville] Clara Barton Community Center Holding Craft Show — The Friends of the Clara Barton Community Center (7425 MacArthur Boulevard, Cabin John) will hold its fifth annual craft show from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2. Proceeds go to funding a number of Community Center events throughout the year, including family bingo night, paper shredding and the Halloween Haunted House.
