Bethesda Row Arts Festival Coming In October

Published:

On Oct. 20 and 21, the 15th Annual Bethesda Row Arts Festival will transform three blocks of Bethesda Row into an outdoor art exhibit featuring 200 works of art. The festival and arts sale that benefits the NIH Children's Charities has become one of a few fall events organizers hope bring people from around the region to Bethesda. Federal Realty, developer and property manager of Bethesda Row, says more than 300,000 have attended the arts festival since it began in 1997. Bethesda and Elm Avenues will be shut down to traffic for the weekend. The show includes 14 judging categories — ceramics, drawing/pastels, fiber, glass, graphics/printmaking, jewelry, metalwork, mixed media 2D, mixed media 3D, oil/acrylic painting, photography/digital art, sculpture, watercolor and wood — and will boast 18 returning winners from last year's festival.
